Trianon, Frankfurt, Germany

The Trianon, a skyscraper in the Westend district of Frankfurt, was designed by the architects Albert Speer & Partner, Novotny Mähner Assoziierte, HPP International and completed in 1993. With its height of 186 m and 48 storeys, the head office of DekaBank is the fifth-highest building in Frankfurt. The layout of the building is similar to an equilateral triangle. From 172 metres upwards there are superstructures on the corners supporting the roof construction. The roof is topped by an upside-down glass pyramid, the so-called diamond.

In 2014 and 2015, the building was refurbished with regard to fire protection while business continued. GU elaborated a special solution to safeguard the doors separating the space in front of the elevators from the offices as part of the escape and rescue route. More than 100 BKS escape route control units in conjunction with electrically locking panic locks were installed.
